Don't know why they would be scrubbing or setting off an abs light. I have 18 x 10.5 all the way around w/ 275/ 40 / 18" Falken Z rated tires and mine never scrub. If it is in the back, you could just roll your inner fender well slightly.

275/40/18 shouldn't scrub. Tiff's car has them in front with 305/35/18 rears.

I do, BTW have a pair of new 295/35/18 Firehawk Wide Ovals for sale...

They are NEW new- Never mounted, stickers still on 'em. I'd need $320 for the pair. I actually have 4, with the front pair being 275/40/17. $600/for the staggered set.

my cars a convertable, i think im gonna get a wheels spacer... car is also lowered 2" as for the abs light coming on, i had someone tell me thats because i stepped up in the back from 35 to 40,and now i need to step up the front 5 because the abs sensor has a certain range that you can have between the front and the back

I've got 40's in the front and 35's in the back..been running that combo for 80K..I've never seen a lite yet..it might be that camo coveralls and stars and bars hat combo if you are still wearing them while driving the car causing it..

Just an FYI for ya grasshopper...the C5 Vette came with 17's in the front and 18's in the back..the C6 comes with 18's in the front and 19's in the back..I bet your difference in height is not as much as you think it is..don't get mad at me I didn't dress you up in camo coveralls, put that hat on your head, take a picture of you, and then post it up..get mad at the guy that did it... .. I don't know how you make it through the day man..it seems like every day your life is in crisis.. might be time for some group therapy..

this isnt a crisis, just an annoying dash light and the vettes computer is set up to run those wheels, mine is set up to run 245/50/16's front and rear and ron said there is some perimiter you have to stay in between the front and the back so, its a simple question if anyone knows an answer how to get that light to go away like step up sidewall in the front or something??? no crisis here except your foreskin problems....

Oh you mean when my foreskin gets caught in your teeth.. cheepest way for it to go away is a piece of black electrical tape about an inch long applied to the front of the dash in front of the lite..guess what size wheels and tires came on my car..(245\50\16) I don't know what the parameters are that the ABS has to opperate in but obviously you are out of it..might try and post up the question in the handling and braking section or wheels and tires section....I'll bet ya someone over there knows that answer..or call up Sam Stranos he will know..he is a vendor on here..lighten up man just playing..just worring about you teeny boppers..lots of youall doing yourselves in these days..my generation never suffered through the hardships that you guys have to deal with now days..

PS You might want to run the same size wheels all the way around..the guys that really take handling seriously run the same diameter wheels on their vettes ... they might run a difference in how wide they are but the diameter is always the same..

yeah if you run a different height in the front and rear sometimes the abs won't like that.

If you're interested, I can get you whatever tire you want @ shop cost. Will take about 2 biz days to order, but I can get anything at well under retail. At a small surcharge of $20, you'll save 100's

Let me know

If your car had a carb , distributor, and a coil you could not afford to drive it..these cars with the computer controled engine managment are what gets you the great gas mileage while still providing the fantastic performance that the LSx series motors are known for..case in point the new Z06 is getting 27+ mpg and the coups and convertibles are getting close to 30..before I started modding mine it got 28-29 on the highway at 70-75 miles an hour..now it gets about 22..it would do better but the 4.10's are killing the mpg...I have 114,000+ miles on mine and it has been one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned..I take care of it but it sees the red line everyday at least once or twice...I bought it to run it..its a hot rod...as far as the electronics goes the only glitch was the throttle position sensor had to be replaced here in the last week...new clutch at 77k and thats it as far as breakdowns or malfunctions goes...the good ol days cars were never that good..beleive me I owned a bunch of them too... peace..

You might want to talk to Sam Stranos he will know.. instead of just throwing tires at it..find out what the parameters of the system are and then get the right size unless you just like to change tires a lot...
