Talking My Incon Twin Turbo Install Thread... (Pics)

My front bumper in the apartment for safe keeping. (Special thanks to my new wife.)

The Firehawk is shedding parts...

Working in a one car garage at my apartment complex...

Radiator/condensor & most front clip components removed...

Polished valve covers traded for some billit covers still in the mail system, rags for dust protection.

Drivers side nestled in place. Required lowering the K-member, raising engine off mount, removing motor mount pedestal. I had to grind a tab on the block.

Passenger side was by far the hardest to complete. I had to notch the starter, block, k-member, part of the downpipe, inserting the clean air tube while installing the whole manifold was a hellish experience...

Finished the night with the pasenger side intercooler and air tubes installed. I had to relocate the horn. Tomorrow I'll do the driver side.

The remedy.

From what I understand Incon screwed quite a few people , you're lucky to have a complete kit in your posession . Incon is a bad word in these parts.

^^ It's all downhill from here. I plan to do the driver's side intercooler mounting, the oil fitting above the oil filter, maybe do some work mounting the scavenge pump.... Jerry is working on getting the hptuners liscense for 2002, hopefully I can limp over to his house this weekend to get some street tuning.

To have it running by the weekend is my goal.

I'm still on the stock bottom end. I plan to boost it up to 600 rwhp (with the same lumpy 236/236 cam installed ) until I tear the motor down next year for a 382ci/6 liter head combo... The sky's the limit after that. These turbo's max out at a little over 800rwhp. Someday that's where I'll be. ~Joshua
