ORSCA 10.5 Race & Year One Street Legal Races The next ORSCA Race will be held at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, GA on September 8th-10th. During this race we'll be running another program of the Year One Street Legal Races. We'll be running a full program of the Year One classes, unless we have a really low turnout in one of the classes and then that class won't be run. Some of you have already called to say that you'll be coming down for this race, but I'd like to get an idea of who's coming.
The Year One Street Legal racing Series is a heads-up drag racing program. The program is divided into five classes (OPEN, 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, and 13.00). The Open class is heads-up with no breakout, the index classes are heads-up with a breakout (you cannot run quicker then your index time). The OPEN class is run on a .400 pro tree and the index classes are run on a .500 sportsman tree. All participants and their cars are required to attend the driver’s meeting and then each car is inspected to meet all of the YearOne class rules required to race in these classes. This inspection is in addition to the sanctioning body’s safety tech inspection that must be passed also before you can race.
RULES:
•Required to pass the sanctioning body’s safety tech inspection for the performance level of the vehicle.
•Required to pass the Year One street legal tech inspection.
•DOT tires (ET Streets and Drag Radials are OK, No Slicks)
•Current license plate & insurance (for the vehicle being raced)
•Working headlights, taillights, turn signals, horn, and wipers. (wiper arms can removed during the race for safety, but they must be functional)
•No racing electronics.
•Since this is a street-car class race, you need to be prepared to make back-to-back runs in the event the schedule needs to be shortened due to weather or track conditions.
ENTRY FEE:
$40.00 for the car & one driver (NOTE: This pass is good for one person for the entire weekend event)
PAYOUTS:
OPEN Class $1000 to win/$500 runner up
10.0 Class $500 to win/$250 runner up
11.0 Class $500 to win/$250 runner up
12.0 Class $500 to win/$250 runner up
13.0 Class $500 to win/$250 runner up

April 22nd at Atlanta Dragway (During the Year One Experience) Commerce, Georgia
July 8th at Atlanta Dragway Commerce, Georgia
September 9th at South Georgia Motorsports Park Valdosta, Georgia
November 11th at Carolina Dragway Jackson, South Carolina
