Speedy Transmission on Hwy. 9 in Roswell across from Carl Black. They've done great work for me in the past and will build most anything you want. Have a pretty good history of building tranny's for all different types of race cars be it dirt track, asphalt, and drag racing.

I had mine rebuilt by them without a problem, and very fast turnaround time. I think Jason took his there too with no problem either...

on the other hand, Southern Gear just removed and replaced a axle bearing on a moser axle for me..TOTAL cost was 31 bux including bearing and axle seal....Moser wanted 36 bux just for the bearing. Rear stuff might be cool but apparently tranny stuff with them aint.

Here's the story...

I told them I wanted to upgrade some parts in the t56 when they had it apart and let me know what was damaged first... they said that they can upgrade it... so I had them tear it down...

I got the call and found out the damage, fine, but then they wouldn't upgrade it, at any cost, even if I bought the parts or paid their price, they wouldn't install anything but factory tremec upgrades (steel shift fork)

So I was pissed because I wouldn't have had them do it in the 1st place if I couldn't get carbon syncros and blockers, billit keys, etc...

Then... what should've cost $750 max for a factory rebuild was billed at $1300 ... then when I go to pick it up they've got the same shitty grey paint on it that I told them NOT TO PUT ON!!!! Then he said to me... ," yeah we get Corvette ****** who get mad when we paint their vintage parts." Then I was told it would be a $250 charge for them to disassemble it again and hot-tank the paint off.

No fuckn' **** vintage 'Vette owners would get mad... and me too

So in the end, I was lied to about what they'd upgrade, denied my upgrades, overbilled on a stock rebuild, and then insulted for not liking the paint that I told them not to put on in the 1st place!!! and to top it off, they didn't even give me enough quarts of oil to fill the tranny with even though I told them 3 quarts might not fill it completely. (I ended up making a run to NAPA)

So I got a stock rebuild for $1300-- **** YOU SOUTHERN GEAR!!!!

I was polite the whole time, I didn't deserve any of that, those jerk-offs couldn't tie my shoes in real life, I should've just rented the shop space from a friend and rebuilt it myself. ~Joshua

Look Josh- you REALLY need to get in touch w/your true inner feelings. Stop sugar coating everything, and just tell us how you REALLY feel. OK?
