I got someone in my town that just swears she has a 30th car, and its a v6, rs model solid silver in color, no stripes Does anyone know if there is a rpo code on the door to tell if they are real? Kinda like the ws6's have

To be clearer . . . On the Firebirds, they ONLY celebrated the anniversary of the "TRANS AM" . . .

Firebirds started in 1967, just like the Camaro . . .

Trans Am began in 1969.

Thus why the anniversaries of the Camaro and the Trans Am are always 2 years apart.

ALL the ann. cars for the camaro in that year are artic white with hugger orange stripes. Could only get a Z28 or SS with this package now if its like the 2002 camaro's ALL of them will have a dash plaque that say 30 ann.

I saw a woman advertising a 99 as an anniversary car even though it wasn't a 30th. I believe people think they have an anniversary car if it was a 99..NOT..Maybe that's the case on the 97 camaro's? People just think in different ways. Just because you have a 97 Camaro doesn't make it a 30th Anniv.

Default 30th anniversary camaro

Alright guys just my input but it can go both ways. Yes they had the 30th anniversary camaro white with orange stripes but the regular camaros and rs were sorta 30th anniversary cars. I owned a 97 v6 rs camaro back in my day. They had 30th stitched into the top part of the seat atleast mine did and i know it was just a regular rs camaro. It was a bright purple metallic camaro. I have seen others with the stitches as well so both people are right on the 30th part. This is where she is probaly getting that she has a 30th car. Hope this helps everyone out. If you all need too know anything else just ask. thanks, ramair1999@hotmail.com

I was refering to the quote that I, uh, quoted, in reference to 2002 Camaros. But reading his broken grammar I see what he was trying to say about 30th Anniversay editions.

Where the hell did you get the idea I was referencing you? Lighten up, Francis.

Back in '97 you could get the F1 package and it would be confusing enough to make some people think the 30th Anniversary package could be had with different colored stripes, but it couldn't. I had a neighbor with a white F1 with black stripes.

All 30th Anniversary Edition Camaros were white with orange stripes and were Z28s or SSes.

All '97 Camaros had the 30th logo in the headrest.

I have a 30th SS that was ordered with no stripes and it's a white hardtop. My dad has a teal V6 with the 30th logo on his seats and no other plaques or markings. Does anyone else have a 30th SS with no stripes?

And you have Z4C on your RPO code list and are the original owner?

Brangeta, are you asking me? I can find the codes on the car and I bought it from the original owner and have his paperwork from when he ordered the car. I bought it from him in Nov '05 for $9500.

Yeah, check and see if you have that code. Since you have the white grill and white wheels, you probably do. I'm not sure why the stripes wouldn't be on it though.

It's definitely a SS, the guy ordered the car without the stripes because he didn't like orange. It also has no traction control, it does have the remote mount oil cooler, 6spd, hardtop, white houndstooth seats. I contacted SLP and they said the build number is 0502. I don't know of any other 97 SS's that were ordered without the stripes and would be interested to know if she's the only one.

He isn't denying its a SS but that its a 30th anniversary car. Check the RPO codes and see if you have the code for that 30th ann. package.
