I got a ticket a month ago for being too loud and bald tires(et street radials) so I looked it up on SVE website and it says mine came with the upgraded exhaust but I need definite proof of it being the 2OTL. I intend to fight the tires and the noise violation. I already have my court date set so I just need the proof.

With 4th gens, usually the RPO - "Y2Y" on the driver's door jam sticker indicates SLP upgrades.

The passenger door jam would then have a sticker as well listing which SLP options the car received.

At least, that's how all the LS 4th gen cars are for SLP options.

Ill have to check but i dont think the one on passenger is there anymore. Did the LT1s get the 2OTL only? or were they able to receive the dual tip one as well?

if it is a true ss, then it got the 2otl exhaust. you can go on slps website and input your vin, it should come up with the list of mods

LT1 Firehawks and some SS's are the only ones I'm aware of receiving the 2OTL when initially ordered with the exhaust option.

Sounds like the cop was just fishing. I've had the 2OTL and it isn't really all that loud. Get as much reference material as possible..

You have to call slp if the sticker isnt in your passenger door anymore. They only used to confirm if your ss was real or not and if you wanted the option list, they would try to charge you for a slp window sticker reprint. Btw SOME 97 ss and firehawks got a slp dual dual but it has resonators built into the tail pipes. Ill try to dig up a pic. Plus youre not the only lt1 ss gone ls lol.
