When GMMG got done with the last upgrade to a Phase IIX package it showed 403 rwhp on their dyno. Then it went to the track. First pass ran 11.90 ET @ 108.5 mph 60' was 1.63 .....It's a keeper!!

As I understand it. All units were Z/28's and produced by GMMG for sale by Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids, MI.All were originally Phase I packages. The 24 M6 cars were rated at 380 hp and the 14 A4 units at 360 hp.Then the fun began when customers started taking them back to GMMG for upgrades. The Phase II @ 435 hp, Phase IIX @ 475 hp, Phase III 427 ci @ 600 hp. One was sold and shipped to NORWAY and later upgraded to Phase V 454 ci and approx.680 hp.
Just how many have been upgraded is a question for the guys at GMMG to answer.

When i bought the car in 02, on christmas eve @ Berger, i also put on order for the car to be sent to GMMG to convert to Phase II. At the time that was the biggest upgrade you could do, as they still heldt the phase III stuff for the ZL1's only..

I got my car home, and started negotiation with Matt and Mike, the rest is history,, the car is now probably one of very very few GMMG cars with this kind of upgrades..

I like your silver car though,, when i decided i could choose between a silver car, and mine, i took mine, due to B4C, i really wanted a car with out the t tops.. Nothing against them, but at the time it was the thing for me

NEW, love your blue! I'm the second owner of my HR. I have a lot of vision problems. So I got the A4 with the idea my wife could drive it. Wrong, it scares the heck out of her. She ask if it always made so much noise. I told her only when the engine was running. She didn't like my answer. I wasn't being sensitive
to her feelings. Long story short, it's in the garage or on a trailer most of the time.In the 20 months I've owned the car it has only had about 300 miles put on it.

LOL,,, I like the shows in the states, i was at the camaro superfest in 04, lots of 4th gens there.

How many miles on your car now?, Where did you pick it up? I'd like to try my car with a auto tranny to, with a really good converter and some sticky tires. I think it could turn some good times

My car has about 3500 miles on it now, 250 miles after phase v, and the first 2500 was when we took the car from MI to Florida, via NJ for shipping. I wanted some miles on it first, to make sure i could correct anything that could go wrong, but nothing happened..

8 in roman numerals is VIII .. not IIX

9 is IX
10 is X

or are they trying to create something different.. like phase II "X"

just wanted to know..

NEW, It's kind of a long story. Back in '02 one of my best buddies , 02_Phase2_ZL1. ordered a '02 ZL1, sweet. I got to thinking it sure would be nice to own a GMMG Camaro, but I just didn't have any loose change sitting in a jar on my dresser so I didn't think too much more about it. Well in the summer of '04 I took my '88 Iroc-Z to SuperFest. Another friend at the show had a Phase I ZL1 he offered to sell me, but the price was more than I wanted to pay. Now fast forward to '05 . I heard about a one owner Phase IIX HR for sale in Grand Rapids. I called the owner and we worked a deal over the phone subject to inspection in person. If it looked as good as pictures he had on the web. It was a deal!! It was and I wrote him a check on the spot!

It now has about 4200 miles on it When Mike C. finished the Phase IIX engine upgrade they took the car to the Carolina Dragway on Jan. 2nd, 2004 for a test
The car has a 3500 Skip Jack converter and 3.73 gears. With a set of M/T drag radials, mounted on 16" rims it ran 11.90 @ 108.5 mph with a 1.63 60' time on a cool crisp winter day. I do have a DVD of the pass down the 1/4 mile and a copy of the time slip. With a little tunning they were certain it had 11.50's in it, but Matt said to put it back in the trailer. If we break it we have to fix it. When the first owner got it home to Michigan he tried it a couple of times in the heat of a Michigan summer. Posting times in the 12.20's.I've had several friends offer to take it down the 1/4 mile for me, but I'm not interested. That doesn't stop them from asking any time our club has a track day scheduled at the local strip!
