If anybody needs a set of the NHRA Trans Am edition badges I have a complete NOS set. Never installed & even comes with the keychain as well. Shoot me a pm because I do not come on here very often at all now that I sold my car.

I have a 2002 Red Trans Am NHRA SE with the A4. I bought it new and it has only 19450 miles on it. I love driving this car!

Hello out there. I just recently bought a 2002 firebird T/A, it has rear quarter damage. Paid $2,000. As I looked at the RPO code I discovered it had (1SH). 67,000 miles on. I think I scored..I'm new to this I'll try to post pictures. Thanks

Question 2002 Pontiac Firebird Formula NHRA

Hi,

I am trying to figure out where in the line did my car get put together. I have confirmed it is the following:

2002, Pontiac, Formula, M6, LS1, NHRA, Black on Black, 2 tops

Based on what I am seeing in your forum, I think there were only 65 made that year with this configuration. Can you help me find out where I need to go to find out and get the necessary paper work to show it is a valid NHRA edition and what its build number was.

Can you help?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Laura

I need some help from my fellow NHRA Edition folks....

I tried posting this in another thread but got no feedback. What do you think my 2000 Formula NHRA Ed is worth? It has 57k miles, black, T-Tops, A4.

Real WS6 hood, black leather interior.
Pacesetter Long Tube Headers with gutted cats and a Borla cat back exhaust.
LS6 Intake, SLP lid and bellow.
Would come with stock 16" rims.
New drilled & slotted brakes. Line lock.

With my slicks, I ran 12.642 @ 110.00

I'm debating on parting ways with it since I never drive it. Would like someone else to enjoy it.

jesus, don't part it out lol

mid 12s seems pretty damn fast for what you have listed above. Is that with the stock converter and gears??

I said part ways, not part out. LOL

Stock converter, 3.23 gears. It's a Formula, it weighs 110 lbs less than my TA did when it was stock. It's also tuned, which I can put back to stock if someone wanted it.

oh haha, didn't read it close enough, just saw the word "part". But thats pretty damn impressive, I'm sure you saved quite a bit of rotational mass with those wheels and tires..I'd be curious to see what my car would run at the track..cause it feels pretty strong for it being basically stock. Mine is an 02, did the SLP lid, TSP 1 7/8" headers with the TSP Y pipe and magnaflow catback..might throw on some DRs and see what it'll do. I would guess high 12s if im lucky.

Default Hey fellow NHRA guys and gals!

I've been wanting a 2002 Trans am Firebird ever since the last ones rolled off the lines! My dreams has become a reality. My car is black on black/ebony, t-tops A-4. I bought it out of Washington State. From a gentalmen who told me everthing that he knew about the car. It was originally a northern Cali car. It has none of the NHRA badges on the car. Dont really know if they were ever put on this car. Rpo code showes it as 1sh. The car has been repainted and it is a really nice job but i would like a little more perfection lol. It has 60,000 on it. No dents or dings but the hood is a aftermartket in flat black. However the original owner put a WS-6 emblem on passenger side rear bumber. The car is set up with All new BMR aftermarket suspension. It rides like board lol. Plenty of cluncks, squezzes, bangs, and rattles. Its not where i want it yet but some of this after market suspensions got to go or get dialed in. It has plenty of power, but there is i miss im unable to put my finger on. So far iv changed evap purge air selinoid. Have new O2 and MAF. Fresh tank of 93 oct with seafoam. But i have got to get the gremlins out. Ran pretty good today but comeing up the hill to the house it starts missing. First time it happened on the enterstate at 65mph. Droped back to 60mph and it was fine. Engine did spit n sputter at 65 with engine lighy flashing. Error code po0446 bank 1 too rich?.. anyway ill post picks soon and maybe you guys n gals can get me diaild in! Thanks! Y'ALLZ
