There is lots of info on this car on here when the original owner was selling-certainly more than the guy who is flipping it now.Car also has SLP 1LE package, but is not a #'d car as it was built after the end of production at Troy location.Nice car with unique history.

It's the real thing, as sleepinghawk said, I am the original owner. When I listed the car, I spelled out the whole story - I can't imagine why they haven't done the same.

Depresses me a bit, I thought the car was going to live in the guy's collection for a long time. When I talked with him recently, he said that he had "lost interest" in Firehawks.

Oh well, wish I could have kept it.

Wish I could keep the '98 as well.

This year has been a real bummer for me and cars.

Call me selfish, but I've been watching this one for a while, but kept it to myself since it was a no reserve auction, and it was still low, I emailed the seller and apparantlly those wheels that are on it where never released for production.

That's true, I bought those wheels from a former SLP employee. If I remember correctly about a hundred sets were made, SLP performance parts sold them for a very brief time. I sold them with the car as well as the original (non-scripted) wheels in SLP boxes.

The wheels are scripted with the Firehawk logo on one spoke and cleared over it.

That was a pretty good deal, I was seriously thinking about this one, but, I wouldn't of been able to keep the miles low on it, and decided against it, did anyone on this site end up with it?

The wheels are sweet... if I have mine refinished I would consider doing that... I like it. Otherwise, I dunno if I really care for the car. I personally would rather have a T/A Firehawk with the same miles...

Camino LS6- I remember you letting us all get a shot at it (and the '98) along with all the other parts/cars you had....

I know how you feel, I wholesaled my prized Firehawk to a dealer in Dallas because I didn't feel like selling it outside of LS1tech.

I'm curious, how much did you sell the '98 for? If you don't want to mention it, I'd love to know via PM......

I'm glad you're still on the board from time to time.... ~Joshua

Thanks Joshua, I still have the '98 for the moment. But, I have to give it up and my '04 GTO as well. Very soon I will be without an LS1 for the first time since 2002.

Not going to be easy not having those cars in the garage, but I'm sure that another LS1 will come my way eventually.

It's certainly not my idea of fun, but it has to be done.
