I have used their ignition products in every performance car I've owned over the years - with nothing but great results!

And true to form - I already have the full set of LS1 coils

How about their Tech department giving me a diffinative answer as to whether of not I can use the 6LS box for it's 2-step function only while still utilizing the factory PCM for all other functions?

its funny, MSD makes great products for every car ive ever owned.... except the LS1..

sure theirs coils, but when the stockers light off 7second cars, im not seeing the need for hideously expensive coils.
and im not converting to a carb so their ign controller is out..

their wires are nice though...

if anyone from MSD is reading this, please:

make a 2step for us!!

So if I read correctly all I need is the extra harness to hook it up to the factory PCM and that will allow me to have a two step????? Anyone using this thing yet?

Found the answer this will work with the factory EFI if you buy the harness, from their website:
Last year, we introduced the Gen III LS-1/LS-6 Ignition Controller, PN 6010, which was designed for engines being retro-fit with a carbureted intake manifold. This year, our engineers have come up with a wiring harness that allows the Controller to be used with the factory EFI and coil assemblies! The Harness, which connects inline to the factory sensors, allows you to program an ignition timing curve, a step retard for nitrous use and select a two step rev control to help with consistent holeshots. You can even program a boost timing curve if you’ve fit your engine with a supercharger or turbo.
All of these features can easily be programmed via a laptop through our Pro-Data+ software.

I've called their customer service department about a week ago and they said the harness is JUST NOW being put into production...I've heard SOOOO MANY hate posts about this ignition box and how it doesn't perform but how are they getting these harnesses if they aren't even to the dealers yet?? I know because I've ordered one...I'm not trying to say that this is going to be the trick for what I wanted but I just wanted to try it out and stop jumping on the "this thing sucks" bandwagon...I'll keep you guys posted!!!
