Question

Hi Peter, have you tested this system to see how much rwhp it will support.
The diagrams look great, by the way! Bob

That does look really nice..... are all the APS fuel set-ups like this???

I have one question.

With the FP REg that far back have you seen a FP difference from where the Reg is and at the Fuel Rail???
The reason i ask is thats why most people put the FP Reg up so close to the Fuel Rail.

Bob, The APS site says it will support up to 600 rwhp (dynojet) They are gonna offer an add on option later that will support up to 1000 rwhp that will include new fuel lines and billet fuel rail. Have a look here http://www.airpowersystems.com/fbody...sgmf-fss01.htm

Kyle, The 1000 hp option moves the fp regulator up front to the fuel rail.

This is a really nice looking kit..... but I am planning on around 800 rwhp. So, I guess I would have to get the optional add on for 1000 rwhp. Guess I better go rob another bank!

So how much is the add on part to take it to 1000rwhp? and how much backtracking would have to be done to add on the other part later? Might have to do it in stages.

i don't like the fact of using factor fuel lines. i want bigger. better safe then sorry. and 600 horse aint much. most of us will have that easy.

That fuel setup looks really nice, but at $1295 it's a little steep for 600 rwhp. I would rather go with an entire new setup i.e (new fuel lines, fuel rails) to handle a little more horsepower and around the same $$$. No offense intended Peter, just my opinion..

Hi Bob, Our engineering department has conducted fuel flow testing and the twin fuel pump system in combination with larger fuel lines, fuel rails and larger injectors (these parts to be released in the near future) is designed to support 1000 rwhp on an Lsx twin turbo application, all good.

Yes, we design all GM performance fuel systems around twin intank fuel pumps.

That really depends on the power level.............to around 600 rwhp the fuel pressure variation is very small in my experience.

On higher power applications we always install large fuel lines, fuel rails with the fuel reg mounted up front. This second part of the twin fuel pump system will be released in the very near future.

Just add larger fuel lines, fuel rails and move the reg up front..............then you will have fuel suply to support around 1000 rwhp.

I will have that pricing info within a few weeks and you will have to do very little back tracking to fit the larger fuel lines, fuel rails and injectors, injectors not supplied in the second phase of the APS fuel system.

The APS twin fuel pump system is packaged with all the parts required for the install and is designed to work with the optional APS fuel lines/fuel rail kit which will be released in the near future.

Thanks,

Peter

More info and pics of the fuel line/fuel rail kit in the near future, this optional fuel kit positions the fuel reg up front in the engine bay.

Sorry for the noob question but I have read at least a few builds on here use the stock feed line to support 800-1000 whp with no issue. Is it really neccessary to replace the stock feed line for under 1000 whp? Now for the retrn line, I have no idea if the EVAP (if thats what it is called) line will work or not, just curious...

Thanks
Dan
