Default Bcm

I know this has been answered before. I for some reason cannot find the answer i'm looking for.

I have installed a remote start in my 98 formula and want to know how I can bypass the bcm or give it always on power. I have tried the bcm wake fix but its not working. Any help would be great!

What problem are you having with the remote start?

PM me if you want any remote start info. I did mine a little while back, and know quite a bit about alarm installation.

After the bcm goes to sleep I cannot unlock my doors with the aftermarket unit. The factory still works fine. I have been remote starting the car, then unlocking the doors with the aftermarket unit with no issue.

Your best bet is to go back and check it again. Since your factory remote still works properly, there is nothing wrong with the BCM. Therefore, the added aftermarket unit and/or its wiring must be the source of the problem.

For example, the BCM has multiple wires of the same color. Perhaps you made a connection to the right color but wrong wire.
