Default Sound Deadner Install Pics

Over the last 5 days I have been installing 120sq ft of eDead sound deadner. Just got the interior back in today so I'll be trying everything out tomorrow to see how it sounds. Yes it took FOREVER and was somewhat of a PIA.

I did the entire car including the inside and outside of the doors, the fender wells inside the sail panel speaker hole, and double layered the center hump. I hope it's worth it

We'll see. It was a huge hassle but with full exhaust the road noise sometimes gets unbearable on a street car. That and all the rattles that comes with it

I was going to buy the deadner but after i read this 60lbs weight i changed my mind.

Quick Calculations:

shipping a package from my mailbox (in NY) to Kuwait i pay $7 per 1Lb.

that means 60x7= $420 + USPS service .

Good & Clean Job u did

i helped 69z-28 do that to both his z28 and ws6 and another buddy with his SS cut down on road noise and alot of squeeks and rattles. IMO time consuming but worth it, especially if putting a stereo in

eDead tends to weigh a bit less than most other sound deadners.

I took it for a test drive today and I am very pleased with the results. The car overall just feels more solid. Doors shut with a "thud" instead of a "clank." The exhaust sounds COMPLETELY different inside the car now. With the cut-out open (LTs), the exhaust sounds much more defined and robust. With it closed, it sounds like I'm driving a stock car on the inside again. The exhaust sounds very dampened. My sub in the trunk sounds a hell of a lot deeper and resonates much more clearly throughout the car. Best of all, no more annoying rattles! This was a very worthwhile install.

That seems to be the general consensus when it comes to installing this stuff, and is why I'll be adding the weight to my car sometime this summer...the benefits sound like they far outweigh the added weight of the material.

So what made you go with the eDead instead of the others?? I've been looking at the RAAMmat, just waiting for christmas expenses, as well as rear-end expenses to finalize and see where the funds sit. What's your opinion on RAAMmat (maybe why you chose yours over theirs)?

I chose eDead because they are extremly light and their new design is just a good of quality as dynomatt for a MUCH cheaper price. What ultimately made me choose eDead is because I found a half off coupon code on some random audio forum that just happened to still work. My total bill for 120sqft was something like $125
