what happens to the tweeters after an HU upgrade?

what happens to the tweeters after an HU upgrade?

i've read the posts that say the door panel speakers have tweeters which are directly powered by the HU instead of the amp. So if you install a new HU, do you lose power to the tweeters? I have a camaro w/ a monsoon system (if that makes any difference)

No.
The Camaro is not wired that way.
All the speakers are powered off the amp.
The Firebird has the front and rear tweeters powered by the head unit
and the rest powered by the amp.
