Pioneer DD doesnt fit in opening
Just got the Pioneer P4000 dvd double din. i have my old unit out and am wiring the new one. Now along with that i cant slide the unit back in the whole. The unit is taller than the opening. I have searched this topic and find nothing. Those of you whom have DD's have you cut anything just to get it in the opening?

Check out how I installed a Pioneer AVIC-D3:

The top of the opening needs to be trimmed and at the back of the tray there is a tab that sticks up that was used by the stock radio but it isn't needed by the new radio. Cut off the plastic part of that tap and bend down the metal part of that tab. That should allow the new radio to slide in far enough.
