well guys i just got my new rear hatch panels that are going in my camaro. they are from newer model f-bodies with the 2 sets of speakers in the panels. Few quick questions.... what size speakers are these, as i will be replacing BOTH sets? Also, im sure someone here is running Aftermarket HU, Door Speakers, Sail Panel Speakers, and Rear Hatch Speakers... my question... What amp are you guys using to power the extra 2 sets of speakers? which speakers are you powering by the Amp? which are being powered by the HU? Thanks guys. Lemme see some set-ups if anyone has pics.

its a tweetter and 4" speaker. i put polk 6.5 components in place, as well as the front. stock radio and amp but it still sounds good.

...not in a Camaro. They are just 4" round mid speakers (no tweeters). In Camaro systems that come with those speakers (Monsoon), all speakers in the car are powered by the 8-channel Monsoon amp.

^ dont think he has camaro panels though. he said hes getting new ones with "2 sets of speakers"

yea, theres definitely 2 sets of speakers back there like flaring afro stated... anybody know where i can get an 8 channel amp as mine didnt come with one... and i wont be using the stock head unit either.

^ you are getting new speakers all around right? your components should come with a crossover that takes the signal and sends the appropriate part to the tweeter and mid. you only need a 5 channel, or 6 for left and right with sails, or a 4 and 2.

yea ill prolly do a 4 and 2. yea im getting new speakers all around except for my alpine type rs i have in the doors, ill prolly put another set of them in the sails and possibly some type x's in the rear panels. as for amp size imma have to figure that out next. thanks for the help afro.
