dashlights out after installing new headunit????
problem fixed it was the IP dimmer fuse ??
i took out my pioneer and installed my new alpine 9884, and now i have no dashlights or hvac lights??? anyone run into this before?
i pulled the fuse for the dash lights and the mileage went out put it back in went back on but no dash lights. checked the wiring/connectors all good connections. anything else to check here?

i did a visual to make sure nothing was cut or pinched. is there a wire that controls both hvac and dash lights if so what color to look for? i could have looked over something
i thought about putting the old radio back in but it doesnt make sense seeing how the wiring was the same. then it just plugs into the cars harness
the only thing i added was an humount but thats just to the power and ground.
by the way it sucks to drive at night with this problem... good thing for my jeep i guess

did you ground everything right??? if not you could have blown the fuse that controls those lights. I did that when i changed my dash lights, its the fuse panel inside the car and i think its one of the 20 amp fuses.

Oh yeah...forgot about that one. I must be getting old or something.
Power comes through the 20A TAIL LPS fuse and then splits to go to the tail lights and marker lights as well as looping back to the fuse box to go through the 5A IP DIMMER fuse for the dash lights.
