Default Fiberglass sub box weight, worth it?

I have 2 traditional box with 2 10" kickers, and I'm wondering if anybody's got a fiberglass one and if they're much lighter than wooden boxes?

That probably depends on the shape of the boxs, and the thicknesses of the two. I would say if one is made out of 3/4" MDF and the other is typical fiberglass thickness, than the fiberglass would be lighter.

Well,
mine is a just a rectangular box, and it sits behind the back seat, nothing huge but with the subs it's got a little weight to it.

Fiberglass is only good for small boxes like stealthboxes. It rings like a bell if you span long distances with it unless you brace the hell out of it. It's possible to do that and have it sound good, but it's too much trouble to be worth it.

Thanks, I was thinking about to try to take some weight off the back of the car, it's already sufffering from ***-sagging so the 2 10's and heavy box don't help, plus I've seen some cool fiberglass boxes.
