http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136106V...D4.html?tp=111

Pioneer Premier 10'
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130W250...D4.html?tp=111

The kicker 10' cvx

The RE 10' also

Any other options i should consider? All this will be going into a Kee Audio Stealth Enclosure if he ever gets back to me.

ive been debating this issue for awhile too, the ones i have it down to are an RE SE10D4 and an FI SSD10, both are more sound quality oriented subs so im not sure what exactly what you were looking for but those are my two reccomendations

You need to also look at these.
Image Dynamics IDMAX10V.3($400, 1000rms), FI-Q10($235, 1000rms), Fi-SSD10($170, 800rms), RE SE10($240, 600rms), Image Dynamics IDQ10v.3($240, 500rms)

The Infinity Perfect10's are pretty good and aren't to expensive. There no RE or FI, but the price is alot less as well...

I had 2 infinity kappa 12's but i just sold them to go with 1 10. I wasn't really happy with the quality. Maybe i expected more out of them though. They served me good for 4 years.

They were the best crutchfield sold at the time i bought them. Ian at keeaudio has a picture on his website of a car with the ones i had. They were awesome don't get me wrong but i had more expectations i guess. Which everyone does sometimes. I mean they would slap make my ears hurt and thats one reason why i am down grading to a 1 10' instead of 2 12'.

I've trashed 2 Alpine type R 10" 4 ohm subs in a JL Stealth box within the last year. I guess I'm pushin them too hard to keep up with the rest of the system. Knowing what I know now, if you aren't trying to ET the car (weight isn't an issue), hit up www.subthump.com and snag up on a dual 12" enclosure setup. I'm going to build mine from scratch with fiberglass and load them with a pair of Kicker L7 dual voice coil subs. Buying an inclosure is easier, and subthump.com has nice ones.
Either way, I think the dual voice coil sub is the way to go if you are trying to keep up with a high decibel system with one 10" sub.

No thats why i got rid of my 2 12's. I need somewhere to put stuff and nothing could go in the hole i had my 2 12's. Thats why i am going with a stealth enclosure. Also the type r i will blow with my amp so i can't get it. My amp is 600 watts rms at 4 ohm.

I would have to look for the auction, but there was a guy on ebay that was building dual (one for each side) 10" stealth boxes. With the amp that you have and wanting your storage space, I would run two dual voice coil 10" subs in series/parallel in these boxes. I'm running 800 watts at 4+ ohms myself and I can't get one of those type Rs to live longer than a couple of months.
Also, stay away from Infinity's 3ohm car speakers. The lower ohm rating may be enticing as the original systems in our cars were running 2ohm speakers and sounded nice for a while... but the Infinity speakers sound "tinny" and cater to the upper khz sound ranges. They do not fill the gap in the mid to low khz/hz range right above the sub's range very well -even with a lot of power behind them.

yea i drive 80 miles a day so i need a spare tire. so the passenger stealth box would be out of the question. because i think you have to remove the spare tire right?

Yes, you do.

Fi Q10 is good for a small box.

Avoid the hell out of Alpine, Pioneer, Kicker, RF, MTX, and basically any other sub you can buy at Best Buy.

From what I've heard, the 12" Infinity Kappas, weren't that great of a sub, but when they came out with the Perfect series, they improved alot on them. The 12's aren't gonna have that great of sound quality mostlikely, and thats why you were expecting more, but the 10's I have sounds great in a ported box. Not sure how there gonna sound in my stealth enclosures though. Since your only buying one though, I think I'd get 1 FI and be done with it. GREAT sub...
