Does power flow thru the AUX port without Ign/constant

Does power flow thru the AUX port without Ign/constant So I bought a DIRECT iPOD + AUX INPUT ADAPTER for my 1999 Z28.
Plugged it all up.
No light comes on the module nor does the ipod show charging. Which tells me no juice is flowing out of my cd/aux connection in the back.
What am I missing?
I haven't had my cd changer for years and I don't remember if there is a color wire I need to connect to the Ignition or constant.
Help!!!!

i dont get it either....there is lots of confusion with these adaptors and f-bods.
i figured it was a typo. he doesnt know the proper use of "our" and "are" either........lol
i got it all connected but cant figure out why power is not flowing thru the line at least.

cant tell.....it doesnt do anything. i wouldthink simply pluging it in would have i start right up.
im nervous about splicing the wire since i can just give up and sell the module as new if i cometo the onclusion that my raidio aux is fried (although it played cds fine before)
