Default Wiring up a 4 channel car amplifier..

I had a 250KX kicker 2 channel car amp wired up to my 2 channel 500w kicker sub... 4 wires came out of the kicker amp and their were just 4 inlets on the sub...Perfect fit..

One year later the Kicker amp fries.. I bought a new Sony xplod 800w "4 channel amp"..

Ok now I tried to wire it the same as my kicker amp but only had enough wires to hook up one side of the amp.. Hense I am only now using 400watts of the 800w possible..

QUESTION - can I bridge more wires and double up the sub woofer? Like wire up both amp sides to the one sub? Anyone ideas on how to get the full power out of my amp and into my one Kicker 500w SUB?
