Default Tweeter removal

How the hell do you get the little metal clips off that hold the tweeter in without breaking off the plastic piece?

Door tweeters are removed by undoing the phillips head screw and then prying a thin blade screw driver or other thing bladed tool between the magnet on the tweeter and the metal bracket. It will pop off then. GM screwed it in and put some adhesive there as well. I used a small chisel to remove mine way back when and it did well in getting between the bracket and the tweeter. One twist of the wrist and it popped off.
