Default CDT's from KEE install with pics.

Got the premium package and installed it all. Used factory connectors off old speakers. Soldered all connections. Sounds great. Thanks Ian.

Oh, did all the window guides as well while I was in there. One was broke. One had worn felt. So I just did them all.

Thanks
Parts Taxi. He's a site sponsor.
Good price. Just slow delivery. Parts get shipped from GM to parts taxi, then get shipped out to customer.

I'll let Ian handle that answer. All I know is I took it out last night and I'm loving the sound. Especially for the price.

Did you have any clearance issues with the sail speakers fitting? Or are they about as shallow as the stock speakers?

No issues. Fit perfect. Just be sure if you are using the factory plug that you clip it back on to something out of the way. The first time I threw it together and forgot to put the plug somewhere, it jammed up with the window. Whoops. No harm, no foul though.
All is good now.

^ Look at his site. He explains it all. The prem is all CDT speakers. The other uses a mix match set.

The 4ohm svc high sensitivity woofer still works exceptionally well in that location. I used it several times for that application. The CL-6 has exceptional frequency range and can actually go alot higher then the stock system will allow but it will hit the lower notes fine.
The major difference between the packages is that the CDT Premium package can handle significantly more power due to having the CL-E61CV drivers. The CL-E61 has a better overall driver then the CL-61. The CL-E61 uses the CL-6E driver which has a cast frame vs. stamped steel, larger magnet and a slightly larger voice coil. Cone design is the same in both using a phase plug design for less distortion on the high end volume. Here's a picture of the drivers side by side:

You just get higher end pieces with the premium package. The CL-61CV with the standard package will still get the job done well in the doors though. Especially on stock power.

After listening to this now with some more seat time, and not to mention doing the Jason mp3 mod, it's awesome. I'm not into it for a ton of cash yet it sounds 100X better than let's say my infinity system in my 08&06 Ram combined. Thanks again Ian.
Nice doing business with you.

I agree, I did Jason's mod maybe a month or so ago, definitely loving it. And I actually just had to take my door panel off today to re-wire my drivers side speaker. Wish I would've had a soldering gun at the time when I installed mine.. Wiring looks great though man..

Thanks. Luckily I just borrowed our nice soldering iron from work. A good iron makes all the difference in the world.

Did you need to drill any holes or cut anything on the doors or factory locations to get the speakers to fit?
