Angry Monsoon subs not working!!!

I recently bought a 2001 SS with the stock Monsoon system. I noticed that my subs are not working. I removed the panels and speakers to check the wiring. The speaker wires are securely connected. I removed my spare to check the amp. The harness connected to the amp is secure but still no sound from my subs. Could it be a blown channel for my subs or even blown subs? Is this common and has anyone else had this problem? Any advise will help...Thanks!

The Monsoon subs appear to be crap. Many people have problems with them. One of mine blew and as a result the other barely worked. I replaced both with Rockford Fosgate 6.5" subs and it sounds much better now.

pull the deck out if the guy who had it before you put a new cdplayer in he might of spliced wires cuz most aftermarket decks won't run the subs. see if theres any fishie wiring or if he forgot to put one of the plugs back in. I believe it's in the middle of the back of the deck is the plug for the amp

I still have the stock Monsoon tape deck with 12 disk CD changer. I will try to remove it to check the wiring.

Does anyone know if the Monsoon system is covered by the factory warranty?

Just came from the dealership. They said that it is still covered under factory warranty which is 3 years/36,000 miles. Luckily, I only have 35,700 miles on the clock. How can I blow my other speakers to get them replaced?!?

take the speaker out, connect some speaker wire to the terminals on the sub, then shove it in a home eletrical outlet............at my shop when we send stuff back to the manufacturer, thats how we do it

Get a small battery, connect it to the speakers wire(not connected to deck). If it pops then its a head unit issue.

I thought my subs weren't working either till I got really close. The power is really low...they suck! Jimmy has the right idea about popping them, done it myself!

I think they are mid bass speakers...They are located on both sides of the rear seat.
