Default Subwoofer break-in

So usually i buy pre-owned woofers and just plug and play, but i just picked up 2 Kicker CVR 12's and the guy had them hooked up for 30 mins and thats it, now he's selling them locally. My question is, how many of you believe that the woofers need to be broken in? Some say they do, and how long varies either from a couple hours to a few weeks. What does everyone here think/believe?

I dont break subs in anymore. I used to, but now i just tune the amp with the volume cranked to a max listenign level. Then i tell customers listen no more than 3/4 up for a week or so, then free range. I guess thats sort of a break in, but not what most consider break in.
