What speakers are you running in your doors?
Mine need replacing and I'm trying to get a feel as to what would be the logical solution.Looks like the Infinity 62.7i were popular as were the Alpine SPS-170A with the little mod to make them work.Anybody have any others I'm not aware of? They will be running off the Monsoon amp for now.I'm seriously considering the CDT Cl-61CV from Ian.

Almost any speaker that has the tweeter wires exposed in the rear of the speaker going into the magnet will work but you have to cut that wire going into the magnet and connect it to the stock connector seperate from the midbass.
The CL-61CV's are seperate components (seperate midbass and tweeter) that convert to a coaxial by using the supplied hardware that comes with them. They have the tweeter wire already seperate since they are seperates mounted coaxially just like your stock ones are. That way your not cutting up wires on a new speaker to rig it to work with the Camaro set up.
I have the GTO628 and they will work but there again you have to cut the tweeter wire going up the rear to make it work. That then gives you your seperate tweeter and midbass provisions like the stock speaker. I have done this with the JBL's before on a budget system and they did sound fine because they are nice speakers. The CDT's sounded better though.

I'm running Phoenix Gold Ryval V65C's in the doors. Come with seperate tweeters that i mounted to the door panels as many others have done. Decent midbass but the tweeters aren't too loud and i wish they were louder so i could hear them over my 12's, but they sound good without a lot of boom going on. For the price they're not bad.

No they're not amp'd cause they were just to replace my stock blown ones and I'm not going to go through the hassle of wiring in a new amp + wiring until my next f-body, my current one has higher miles and not trying to put much more into it. If i put an amp to them I'm sure they would sound great, but they're still decently good without one.

And if you haven't already thought about it, I would highly recommend doing some sound deadening to your doors and hatch area. It will eat into your budget quite a bit, but is well worth it. Check out sounddeadenershowdown.com or secondskin.com. The guy who owns sounddeadenershowdown customizes his orders for each person depending on what their goals are, and doesn't believe you need to cover your entire car.
