Default Are you honestly happy with your stealth box? Or do you really want more?

Well i posted something yesterday and decided to start putting together a half *** decent system for my camaro. After ordering my 4 replacement alpines and a alpine head unit it's just down to the subwoofer now. I have 2 10" subs in my duramax with the same alpine replacement speakers in the door and i am VERY happy with it, i was just curious if i am going to be disapointed and just wasting money if i only go with a single 10" in a tiny stealth box in my camaro. Not saying you can't get a decent thump out of a small box with a 10" because the subs in my truck are under the rear seat of the crew cab but honestly can i get the same effect out of one really nice 10" in the camaro? Just looking for opinions here, anyone have the stealth box and find it to be not enough and ditch it for one of those boxes that takes up your entire hatch/ t-top storage area? Any advice for me?

Alpine 10" sub hits hard but 2 properly set up subs in the right box would definitely have more boom than one sub.

Stealthbox is a good way to tuck the sub to side and still have space for stuff / Ttops in the trunk.

Lotta people put a second stealth box in the spare wheel area on passenger side.

I have the driver's side stealth box only with just a Kenwood sub and amp. 1000 peak but only 300 rms. I love the sound!

it's crazy how much all that glass in the hatch can really beef up a "small" system back there. I used to run 2 12'' Eclipses in the trunk of my Mustang with a couple alpine amps and I would say this is very comparable (and less intrusive on my battery/alternator).

I'd say go for it, it is SO nice not having a big stupid box taking up space back there. If you find out it is not enough, you can do up the other side like ^^^he^^^^ said. Unless your going competition I don't see 2 10'' in stealth boxes in a that hatch not being good enough bass.

all imo of course.

RE se10 seems popular on here in stealth boxes. I had bought everything to do this, but changed my mind to stick with my 2 12's since I have a hardtop.

I had a stealth box with an alpine type r 10 and an alpine PDX 1.600 and I wasnt happy with it. So i doubled everything and got a dual 10 ttop box and it sounds a lot better imo. I did however just get my Sundown Audio SA-8s in today so not sure if Im gonna put them in my car or not.

Hatchback cars have good cabin gain and the bass will sound louder than in most vehicles. I think you would be surprised what a quality 10" driver can do. How much are looking to spend on a sub and amp combo? Maybe a I can make a few suggestions.

I bought a pair of stealth boxes, and decided before I even got them in that I was gonna build a box. I did however try them out and they sounded really good and were plenty loud. If you want, I have them still. PM me if your interested in them.

I have used 1 10", 2 x 10" both in stealth enclosures and they hit very well.
A single quality 10" sub is plenty for most.

Take a look at FI subs https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraud...iew.shopscript

I made a conservative box for my buddies 12" ssd and it was very impressive. I have heard very good things about the company as well.

I had one in my old bird and loved the sound. Hit pretty hard too because there's nothing seperating you from the sub.

i had a stealth box with a alpine type r 10. Sounded great hit hard and real clean bass.
650 rms 1000w peak if i remember right. Type r are perfect for a small enclosure.

VERY happy with my JL 10W3v3 Stealthbox. For only being a 10" in a sealed enclosure it bumped. (used with JL 250/1 amp)

I'm actually selling mine now cause I am trying to reduce weight so bye bye stereo...
