Question i need a little advice for sound system

hello all, well i got myself a 95 Z28, i am a mechanic in VA and i can hold my own when it comes to the mechanical side of stuff but when it comes to sterio i have NO FREAKIN IDEA, so i want to have a good system that sounds great with some good bass... but not shakin the doors bass, where do i start? what are some brands to stay away from, and what are good brands to get? thanks

hey..i like the same thing lil bass no shaking doors bass lol i got my self a kenwood headunit its really gr8 with good price n quality i didnt change any factory speaker as they work good for me i only got an amp with 800 watts subwoofer sound is crystal clear if i want an upgrade in the future its gna b speakers...gd luck with urz

Look into a 5 channel amp, I have used the infinity 5350 in alot of installs
2 sets of coaxials speakers for front and back, polk db651
Cubby hole sub box from KeeAudio and a 10 sub

This will blow stock away get way louder, sound way better, and offer some nice low end. There are 1000 different ways to go, some will say get 2 amps, some will say components in the doors and no rear speakers.
