Remove the dimmer switch and you will see what looks like a little slot for a screw driver, It Is the bulb. I used a screwdriver for eyeglasses to turn the bulb and pull it out. It was Very easy, I believe there is a picture of it somewhere on this site.
The bulbs in the steering wheel must be unsoldered to be replaced and I don't think I want to try that. I was looking for some sleeves like the Rirebirds have but so far no one can tell me where to get them. Blue or Red is fine I have both colors in my dash.

Ok so ive gotten to it and i still cant figure out what to do! I removed the black piece, took the old one out, took a 194 or 83 (whatever the small HVAC bulbs are) apart so i could use it without the plastic piece in the way, threaded the leads through the black piece and all that, it works but i have to press down on it (trying to figure out how to make it stay down).
Is this how you did it??

OMG no I don't know what you are talking about. I bought a replacement bulb for the headlight switch from superbrightleds. It is a NEO3-X, all you do is take out the old bulb and put in the new one, there is NO work here no taking anything apart, it is a direct replacement. This is for a 98-02 Camaro correct?
