Default Coaxial speakers

Are coaxial speakers ok to put in the 6.5 door spot...i already have a pioneer compnonet set up but just only the tweets r hooked up to the crossover and everything is good but just wondering if putting the coaxial 2 or 3 way speaker would be fine just to get more mids because the component has a woofer n tweet n i can hear mids comeing from the woofer? so would that be ok

Why not leave the components in the door and coax's in the sails?

I think I may be missing the point of the question... you have components that are working but you wonder if coaxials would work better? Generally, no. Components and coaxials are basically the same thing except that coaxials are more of a compromise of the design elements. Never use 3-way speakers unless you're putting them in an old Civic you want to get rid of.

If you replace the woofer of your components with a coaxial but leave the separate tweeter in place then you won't get more mids - you'll get more treble. The coaxial woofer will be basically the same as what you replace so you will be effectively adding an additional tweeter to the system.
