Default Is a Underdrive Pulley bad for Sub/Amp?

i have not installed my u/d pulley yet and was wondering if it is bad for the stereo. not as far as damage wise but i mean will it not charge the alt. enough so that my sub cuts off and on? or could i install a alt overdrive pulley? i dont have any room in my car to wire up a capacitor. and really dont want too. i have a Kicker L7 solo baric 12 inch sub and a Kicker 750.1 amp. the sheet i got with the amp says its a 928rms amp. so what can i do or will i be fine?

You'll probably be fine as is. I've got 2 amps in my car with a UD pulley, and have never had any problem. Granted, I don't drive much at night when the headlights would pull current as well. Don't waste your time with a capacitor. Total waste of money.

Yeah you should be fine, just do the big 3 to maximize the power from Alt to battery and to amplifiers. Id you do happen to have some issues you can always bump the idle speed up 50 to 100 rpm.

If you have an a4 you may have charging issues. I have it in mine I am actually installing an overdrive alt pulley this weekend. I ended up buying one but my dumbass had one already that came with my March kit!

I have an A4, a 25% underdrive crank pulley, a 480W subwoofer amp, a 242W 2 channel amp, and bumped by idle up 100RPM and everything is just fine. I had worse charging with just the pulley and stock idle with the radio off. When I was driving home from work today it was 80+ outside, I had the radio up pretty loud, the cooling fans were on, and my voltage was sitting right below 13V at a stoplight.
Also, where is the 707 do you live. I live in San Jose now but am originally from Vallejo.

vj the fact you bumped your idle up 100rpm may help with any charging problems people may have.
