Default safe?

kinda of a stupid question but i just wanted to know if it was safe or ok to drill holes on the rear deck behind the rear seats so i could mount my amp and cap back ther. not where the ttop holders are but the higher part. is it ok or does the gas tank sit under the rear deck?

The gas tank is under the rear deck so I wouldn't drill into it.

Don't drill it... but you could probably be just fine using some self tapping screws that aren't too long...

I slid a 1/2" thick piece of plywood under the carpet and screwed into that. The gas tank is really close to the floor.
