Default What GA wire for amp to ground and amp to battery?

I'm wiring up a set of 12" subs and an amp and can't remember what GA wire to run from the amp to the ground and the amp to the battery. I think it's 8 ga, but I heard you could use 10 as well.

really depends on the amp, but if you are not sure I would run 4 AWG wire for both the ground and to the battery.

Ah, I actually just found it. I've been searching for awhile and somehow skipped over this.

8-gauge power and ground leads recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
