Default 99pcm into a 98 TA

I am building a turbo 402 for my 98. I have learned the 98 pcm is junk for tuning this type of setup. I bought the car as a shell with no engine harness or pcm. Since then I have purchased a 99 engine harness/pcm from a member.

Of course the 99 harness will not work with the 98 dash/body harness from what I have read. Can anyone tell me what my best course of action would be to get the 99pcm working in the 98?

Should I just get a 98 engine harness and repin it to work with the 99pcm? Do I need a 99 complete body harness and instrument cluster to work with the 99eng harness/pcm?

Or does someone know if there is a way to make the 99eng harness work with the 98 body harness. Thanks guys.

Oh and please don't respond if all you have to say is get a 99+ car or stay away from 98's.

Looks like I am (SOL). Was hoping to make the 99 engine harness work somehow. I guess I will have to buy a 98 harness and repin for 99 pcm
