Default camaro and trans am speaker sizes

i was wondering if the speakers on the camaros are the same as the trans am size?

i got a deal going on and was wondering if they where the same size im going form camaro to trans am 4th gen 98-02 styles thanks

i believe the doors and sails are 6.5" not quite sure about the hatch.

yes.

i wanna say the hatch area is something small like a 4"? or you could cut it out and fit a 6x9" in there.

Correct, and yes the doors are 6.5". And I wouldn't but 6x9's into the hatch area, either leave the stock ones there or remove them, you won't really notice them with a good set of door/sail panel speakers.

The speakers are the same physical size but they are not interchangeable. For example, the 6.5" subs in the sail panels are single voice coil in Camaros but double voice coil in Firebirds. Please read the Monsoon FAQ sticky at the top of the section for more information.

so for my 2002 WS6 replace the sale panels with a good double voice coil sub and what is a good replacement for the rears? I don't want bump but just good clear sound.

The hatch area speakers are strictly for rear fill - they provide almost no bass at all. The only reason to replace them is if they are blown, otherwise just leave the originals in there.
