Default Help with Remote start/security alarm.

I have a 1999 Pontiac Trans Am and I am looking into getting an AutoPage C3-RS730 remote start/alarm system primarily for it's features and price.

Here is my question and I've searched for it for hours but to no avail: Do I need anything else on top of the system itself? Such as a bypass module for the remote start? I've heard people saying you need a separate bypass module. Is this true and absolutely necessary?

Thanks in advance.

YES, if u going to install a remote starter in our cars. 2 ways
- u can do the bypass by installing an resistor and have a optional Start kill Relay install(this the way i doin it)
- or get an flash bypass module (100$) which simulates a key in the car

i am installing my system soon so ask any question?

Does the bypass module do the same thing as the resistor? The resistor pretty much renders the vats system useless right? What system are you installing?

Yes it will turn vats off.. but doesn't matter cause u will be installing a starter kill.....
Bypass module does same as resiotor..however vats will still work...just not when the remote starter is used....

Starter kill is an relay u install as part of security systeam...now when the alarm is armed no matter wht key u put in even the right one.. wont work so vats doesn't matter as long as u arm ur alarm (imo)

So when you say Flash bypass module simulates a key in ignition, I know this is just for starting the car but what about If one would want to eliminate the extra step of putting a key in ignition before driving?
