Anyone know where to buy a factory gm alarm? or who makes them? THX

I may be wrong but, I don't think you can just buy the alarm. Its pretty much integrated into the BCM and everything else. There is a shock sensor in the back, but I dont think its tied into one central "Alarm Control Box" like a aftermarket alarm would be. I may be wrong though, would not be the first time.

For 98-02 models the alarm is in the BCM. You can buy a new BCM and a shock sensor to add it to your car but for you can buy a better aftermarket alarm for what the OEM parts would cost. If you want an alarm that retains the factory key fob, look for the Hornet 700T. It adds alarm functions to cars equipped with factory keyless entry and was also sold by GM dealers as a GM OEM accessory. You should be able to find it for under $75 online.
