GOT LS1

so i went to roll my window up and nothing. i can hear the motor running but not coming up. took off the panel and found that mechanism that actually guides the window up was just resting in the bottom of the door along with a round coil (assuming thats what keeps tension on the window). after an hour of messing with it i came to the conclusion that i had know idea nor a solution for the problem. any help would be greatly appreciated.
