Default looking to add bass to bose system

I have the aftermarket bose system with sub in my 96 Z28. I really like the clarity, but it just isnt punchy enough for me. Im looking into upgrading my headunit to aftermarket and using a PAC OEM1 to connect it to the bose system. Does anyone know if the PAC OEM1 plugs into the preamp outputs, or would those be free to run a sub? If free, will a JBL GTi 10" fit into the 10" drivers side enclosure from kee?

The OEM1 is basically a fancy line out converter (LOC) so its whole purpose is to convert speaker level output from the head unit to line level signal for an amp. Connecting it to the line level (RCA) output of your new head unit would be pointless.

I dont want to hook the PAC up to the preamp outputs, I always figured those were separate from the actual radio connection. I want to run the bose system off the normal connection and a 10" sub off of the sub preamp outputs that come with most decks.

then you don't need a line-level adapter. Just a set of RCA cables to go from the deck to the amp for the sub.

you will be good. the pac will connect to speaker wires from radio leaving the rca preouts open for sub etc
