Problems with remote atart

Problems with remote atart I had my aftermarket remote start for 3 years.
Recently the remote start stopped working & factory alarm went off when I used the remote to unlock doors.
Took the car to an alarm place, they did the bypass and the factory alarm issue is fixed.I don't have to rush and turn the key in ignition to turn off the honking.
The remote start works intermittently, security light comes on if I try to remote start.
What could be the problem?
