Default Alt rebuild anyone

All I want to do is paint the case but may end up rebuilding the ALT if I can find parts for it. Cant figure out how to seperate the halves though. There is copper wire that pass through the case to rear of alt. Please see pics below. Maybe you guys can help. What are these Alt called cs130?

You need... Alternatorman! (He also sells the parts.)

The rebuild videos are for another alternator, but the procedure should be similar.

you can definitely separate those two halves. Heat up the solder of those copper wires and peel the copper wires away from their little boots. Those copper wires are, iirc, the only piece holding the halves together. Of course, check around after you break those soldering connections in case i'm wrong
