Default Peripheral PXDX Aux Input?

I recently installed a GM9-AUX to my 2000 TA, and it worked fine, but the sound level was low. I saw that the Peripheral PXDX has a dip switch for boosting the volume in this case, but it seems very similar to the PAC AUX-Box, almost like its been rebranded. I have read that the AUX-Box doesn't work with our cars if we don't have a factory cd changer, which I don't.

Has anyone used this product?

You can buy a pre-amp / line-driver from Best Buy for $20 and put it in-line between your source and GM9-AUX and adjust it to increase the volume of the source to better match the CD & FM inputs of the headunit. That's what I did when I installed XM. Its not in the main store. Go to the install garage and ask for it. The pic on my site is the one I bought from Best buy.

Here is my initial setup:

(my stuff is all hidden now and I have a touch-screen double-din radio)
