hey there, i bought a ipod2car system a couple years ago, version 1.4.1 labeled on the white box...well it has worked flawlessly this entire time, UNTIL, i accidently pinched and cut the cable that hooks into the ipod a few weeks ago....

well i ordered a new one from ebay (says isimple 5v on it) and i plugged everything back together, NOTHING.....nothing at all....i have disconnected the radio, unplugged and replugged everything a hundred times...it wont change over to the ipod and it wont even charge it.......

any ideas??? like i said, its a 2002 head unit, it has been working for a long time now.......is it the cable or did the unit fry at the same time, im at a total loss here..

the 5v is the newer ipod and iphone older using 12 v

yeah but all the research i have been doing says you can switch over to the 5v and it also should work for all the older models as well??? not true???

im not sure but i got 5v on my isimple also it only work with my newer iphone and ipod i plug the older one it not charge

I have them
just need to know the size of the end that plugs into the box. There is two sizes. The earlier ones are larger than the newer ones.

The box is white in color as in the PXDP correct?

Also try disconnecting
set dip switches all to on
then to off
then set them
this will reset the unit as well.
