So I have a 5" Sportcomp tach in the car. I had ordered the blue LED bulb from Autometer. It sometimes doesn't come on, sometimes is really dim, and other times lights up the tachometer decently.

Is it the bulb holders fault? Do the LEDs suck from Autometer? I'm running the 5 LED bulbs from superbrightleds in my 2 5/8" gauges now and they work awesome, but it really bothers me that my tach is not lit up at night half the time or poorly at that.

I had ordered a bulb from superbrightleds that I thought would work in the tach, but it was too small.

Solutions?

Tachometer was rebuilt last year by Autometer, with both the old components and new it does the same thing. Power for lighting the tach is the same as the other gauges, only the tach is disappointing to look at lighting wise.

Well does any other company make a LED bulb in this size? Should I test anything else out?

Pretty perplexed, over 65 views, no input? Kinda tired of looking at a dimly lit, if lit at all gauge at night......
