Default keyless entry
have the BCM from a 2001 with keyless/alarm that I would like to put in a 98 firebird that doesn't have keyless/alarm.is it just plug & play?I know about the vats.what about the mileage reading?is it stored in the BCM or the gauge cluster? any other problems I may encounter?thanks

I'm not 100% sure about this, but doesn't the BCM have to be programmed to interface with your PCM for your specific car?

Other than the key/VATS issue, the BCM is completely interchangeable.
