Default Alternator going out?

I was driving last night and noticed something strange. As I applied brakes, the headlights would dim. When the brakes weren't being used, everything was normal. At the time, I had my stereo blaring, headlights and fog lights on. When I got in my driveway I turned on the domelights and applied the brakes and the same thing happened. Is my alternator just not strong enought to handle my stereo, my stock monsson amp, my amp for my subs, headlights, foglights, and any other misc. functions? Is my alternator going out? Help please

Don't you think it might be helpful to describe your stereo to us? And check your grounds.

What happens to the voltage gauge on your dash while all of this is going down? Also, are you using your A/C also?

Ya, sorry, I'm running the stock monsoon system with an aftermarket amp and 2 12" subs. I've never had any problems before.

Haven't checked the voltage gauge DX stupid. I know. Not running the A/C at the time.
