Default Car starts on its own....

I have a z28 a4 with a viper security system with remote start. At 8:39 PM it will start on its own everyday...It only started doing this after a header install with EGR, and AIR delete. I am lost, what in the world could be causing this?

Most likely something caused the alarm start feature to be activated on the viper. What in the process of doing headers could have caused this , I'm not sure.

What time of day did you install your headers?

which viper alarm is it.
Did you get the car tuned after the headers. Its by a long shot, but it is possible that while tuning the same process could have done it.

I have a 3 year old audiovox alarm that turns my car on at said time every morning, my guess is your viper has the feature also.

it came with the car so I am not real sure on the model but I have looked and it is a viper system (judging bye looks and such i would guess it is 5+ years old.) I have not gotten it tuned yet (I am putting it up for the winter at the end of the mouth and will be doing several things to it over the winter and did not want to have to tune it twice)

I had a viper alarm system before on my 97 z28, did the exact same thing but at night. I just removed the whole system lol.

Sounds like the timer has been activated.... Is it a 2 way model by chance?

I sounds like a timer I just understand how it could since it has no clock, I have no way of un-programing it either.

I don't know if it is or not.....it is a basic alarm/lock-unlock/remote start system. I will probably just end up buying a new system...
