Sound cuts off

Sound cuts off When I turn the volume up past a certain value the sound just cuts off. I spoke with tech support and they said to direct ground to the chassis. I did and it has not worked, what can anyone else tell me? It is an Eclipse 6600 AVN by Fujitsu ten.

what exactly is cutting out, the radio? front stage? subs? If its the amp cutting out its probably going into protection mode, what kind of amp? whats it running? At high volume what does the volt meter on your dash read at? Does it dip really low?
