6x9 coaxial vs. 6 3/4 components?

6x9 coaxial vs. 6 3/4 components? This is not related to f-body, but I have a 2008 Dodge Ram with stock 6x9 speakers in the doors with 3 1/2 speakers in the dash. My question is I am probably going to replace the door speakers at some point and was wanting to know if the 6x9 while keeping the dash speakers would be better or a 6 3/4 set of components and eliminating the 3 1/2 dash speakers? I would amp the door speakers with a 75 watt RMS amp, so they wouldn't be running off of the stock amp. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!
