What is the best place to rout a amp power wire through the fire wall

I ran mine along the center console then through the opening just above the steering wheel, along the side of the hood to the battery.

Yeah, take the PCM out. It's only a couple of screws but it kind of shoe-horns itself into place. Put a rag on your fender so you don't scratch anything when you wrestle with it. Once that's out, you'll have easy access to a nice black rubber grommet that you can shove a power wire through. Be careful not to push the grommet through the FW.
